Things to do in the area:
Cartersville is located in Northwest Georgia off Interstate 75 between Atlanta and Chattanooga, Tennessee.  From the workshop's location, you can easily be in either city in less than an hour. Both cities provide virtually unlimited dining, entertainment, site seeing, and lodging opportunities.  However, within 10-20 minutes of Cartersville, there are also many things to do.  Here's a partial list:

Cartersville: (10-15 minutes)

• Tellus Northwest Georgia Science Museum (workshop location)
• Etowah Indian Mounds
• Booth Western Art Museum
• Redtop Mountain State Park
• Lake Allatoona (fishing, boating)

Adairsville: (20 minutes)

• Barnsley Gardens - world renowned gardens, spa, and golf resort

Calhoun: (20-30 minutes North)

• New Echota (last capital of the Cherokee Nation)
• Prime Outlet Mall
• Carpet Outlets - Most of the carpet made in the world is made near here.
• Applied Technologies/Learning Labs, Inc. headquarters - we welcome visitors!

Kennesaw: (20 minutes South)

• The Southern Museum
• Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
• Town Center Mall

Two mid-day meals will be included in the workshop, but for an evening meal, Cartersville offers several restaurants within a few minutes of the workshop location.  Check out the Trip Advisor for more information.
