712 Question 9 in Quiz 2 listed the incorrect answer, although it was correct in the quiz itself.  Please click the link to the left to email us for the updated page.

Both Checkpoints had the wrong passcode for question 1.  Download both files to the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\ 712_cardiac\tests folder and allow them to overwrite the originals.

Some CDs are not installing all of the necessary folders and files to the C:\Cruiser\Media directory. The Xtras and Glossary folders to the left are self-extracting .EXE files. Make sure they're saved to the C:\Cruiser\Media directory.

Some of the directions pertaining to the Sound Recorder were inaccurate. Click the Data link to download this self-extracting exe file. Click the Media link to download a graphic that accompanies the updated data. Save the JPG file to the C:\Cruiser\Media directory.

This download is Quiz 9. In question number 2 (a fill in the blank) PET is now an acceptable answer. Download the file to your C:\Cruiser\Tests directory and allow it to overwrite the original.

Instructor's Overview (p 26)

Quiz 1
(5 Kb)

973 The answers to question 3 on Quiz 1 were incorrectly marked, which required a fix to the quiz itself, obviously, as well as the answer key in the Instructor's Overview.  You can click the Instructor's Overview link to the left to request the affected page.  You can download Quiz 1 by clicking the link on the left.  Overwrite the one located at C:\Program Files\Cruiser\973_Forensics_tests.

The problem with Quiz 1 also affected how many points it is worth.  If you use Carousel Plus, you'll need to change the points possible for that quiz from 9 to 10.

  1. Launch Carousel Plus.
  2. Click the Grades menu, View/Edit Available Tests.
  3. In the Available Tests window, click the far-right icon to launch a search window.
  4. In the Search By drop-down on the right, select Module ID and on the left, enter 973.
  5. Find and double-click Quiz 1.
  6. In the Points Possible field in the bottom left, of the Available Tests window, change the number from 9 to 10 and click the Checkmark icon to save the change.

Quiz 1
(5 Kb)

839 There were problems with Quiz 1 and 6.  Both required a fix to the answer key pages in the Instructor's Overview.  You can click the Instructor's Overview link to the left to request the affected page.  Quiz 6 itself was fine, but question 3 in Quiz 1 was incorrect.  You can download it by clicking the link on the left.  Overwrite the one located at C:\Program Files\Cruiser\839_Forensics_tests.

  4. In the Search By drop-down on the right, select Module ID and on the left, enter 839.

Checkpoint 2 was also amended to reflect the Wards change as well. 2/5/04

987 The results of the Pre-test were not saving.  So when using Carousel Plus, these results were not being imported with the rest of the grades and you weren't able to see a student's progress between the Pre- and the Post-test.  This error would not have hurt a student's grade. Click the Data link to the left and download it to the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\987_imaging\data folder.

Question 7 of Quiz 1 in the Instructor's Overview had the wrong letter choice listed as the answer.  The test itself was correct.  Click the Instructor's Overview link to the left to request the fixed page of the answer key.

Instructor's Overview

761 The points possible total for Quiz 10 in both the Instructor's Overview and the Carousel Plus files was inaccurate.  Click the Data link to the left to download the zip file, then unzip it to the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\761_imaging\data folder.

In Carousel Plus, do the following to fix the test total:

  1. Click the Grades menu, View/Edit Available Tests.

  2. Locate Quiz 10 for Imaging Diagnostics.

  3. Enter 8 in the Possible Points field.

  4. Click the Post edit button (the checkmark) to save the changes.

Some of the graphics weren't displaying properly in Media Cruiser.  Click the Media link to the left to download the zip file, then unzip it to the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\761_imaging\media folder.

Click the Insturctor's Overview link to the left to request the fixed page of the answer key.

Some teachers have noticed that videos (in AVI format) do not play properly (or at all) in Windows Vista.  We have since converted these videos to MPG format.  If you'd like a copy of this CD, please email us.

An astute health science teacher found that we'd misspelled "undue."  This affected the Pre- and Post-test as well as Quiz 1.  Download the tests and place them in the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\761_imaging\tests folder.

The Vocabulary Test was not in random order nor was prevent navigation active.  Download the test and place it in the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\ 761_imaging\tests folder.

There were four pages in the Instructor's Overview that contained errors or omissions, specifically the answer keys for the Pre- and Post-tests as well as Quiz 10 (mentioned above).  Click the Instructor's Overview link to request the fixed pages of the answer key.

369 The path for the Radiologic Anatomy CD in Media Cruiser's Programs button was not properly routed. The self-extracting .EXE file routes the path to the computer's D drive (assuming the D drive is the CD-ROM drive—if this is not the case on your computer, view the Read Me file).

Also, in Oct. 2002, we discovered that some of the Inventory buttons were out of sequence and some of the Journal buttons didn't launch properly. The link on the left fixes that as well.

Checkpoint 1 had additional numbers in the opening screen which made logging into the test difficult. This test fixes that.  Simply download the test and copy/overwrite it to the C:\Cruiser\Tests directory.

The wrong word was identified as correct on Question 2 in the Vocabulary Test. This test file fixes that. Download it to your C:\Cruiser\Tests directory.

Laboratory Procedures
(2 Kb)
762 The files that tell Carousel Plus how many points the tests are worth were incorrect.  The zip file to the left fixes those files.  Unzip them and save them to the C:\Program Files\Cruiser\762_lab\data folder.

In Carousel Plus, do the following to fix the test totals:

  1. Click the Grades menu, View/Edit Available Tests.

  2. Locate Checkpoint 1 for Lab Procedures.

  3. Enter 3 in the Possible Points field.

  4. Click the Post edit button (the checkmark) to save the changes.

The other solution would be to delete the module from the module list in Carousel Plus, thereby deleting all associated tests.  You could then re-import that module into Carousel.  The problem is that any student data associated with Lab Procedures would also be deleted.

Medical Office Technology 843 There were several small problems with buttons in Media Cruiser:
  • the Inventory button in Activity 3 didn't properly launch the inventory test
  • the Create Letter and Transcribe Now buttons in Activity 6 didn't properly launch the word processor
  • there was a Vocabulary Test button in Activity 15 when the only place it should be is in Activity 12

Also, page 5 of the Instructor's Guide referenced the occluder.  This reference was also removed as reflected in the PDF link to the left.

Also, ignore the First Aid Scenarios button in Activity 8.  If you like, you can launch Media Editor and delete that button out of Activity 8. Contact our tech support department at 800-334-4943 if necessary.
