The Applied Technologies vacuum former, which is included in our Polymer Science and Plastics CPU, is a great, inexpensive way to create models, prototypes, packaging materials, and more.  The two 120 volt infrared heaters ensure a superb, even distribution of heat to quickly soften the plastic.  The unit can hold 22" x 15" polycarbonate or polystyrene sheets with thicknesses of up to .25 inches.

The vacuum former also includes a 5 horsepower ShopVac.
