Health Science Foundations

Introduction

Medical professionalApplied Technologies is proud to present a great way to teach Accountability Criteria for the National Healthcare Skill Standards established by the National Consortium on Health Science & Technology Education. View a PDF file of the National Healthcare Foundations Standards and Accountability Criteria.

Our Foundations course covers all 11 of the Foundation Standards and Accountability Criteria totaling 120-150 hours of material and activities.

Within each lesson, students complete an online study that teaches specific information about that lesson’s accountability criteria. Most studies conclude with an assessment measuring the student’s comprehension of the subject matter.

Next, teachers use lesson plans and suggested activities, such as role-playing, projects, and group activities, from the Instructor’s Guide to reinforce the accountability criteria within the health care environment. Rubrics are included to assist teachers in assessing group and individual performance.
