Global
Positioning Systems (GPS) CPU
Introduction
While participating in the Global Positioning Systems
(GPS) CPU, students conduct hands-on experiments using a
global positioning receiver. This technology is used in many
career fields to determine precise locations, average speeds,
distances, and time anywhere on Earth. Students explore the
various occupations in which this technology is now utilized.
The GPS CPU is available in a special 5-hour teacher-led
format as well as the traditional 10 and 15-hour formats.
