CADD - Architectural Design CPU
Introduction
The CADD - Architectural Design CPU uses computer-aided
design software called Envisioneer to create at least two
housing structures while learning about the fundamentals and
tactics of architectural drafting and design. They will also be
introduced to the evolution of residential architecture and the
significance of modern architecture today, will learn about
several careers in the field of architecture, and address
specific tactics of exterior construction and interior design.
Perhaps most importantly, this CPU presents architecture as not
only a functioning societal necessity, but an art form involving
the nuance of creative intuition. By applying learned design
techniques to their own working structures, students gain a more
cohesive understanding of why and how architects--and other
professionals involved with structure creation--employ the
design methods they do.
