PACs and
Academic Standards
Career exploration is the primary
theme for the PAC series, however, a hidden agenda exists that make
PACs much more valuable and easily justified. Each PAC has a variety
of academic and workplace competencies and performance standards in
mind. For instance, many of the standards established by the
National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) and the National
Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) are addressed in various
