Agriscience Enhancement Series

Introduction

These instructor-led curriculum guides and materials are available to enhance any agriscience classroom. These instructor resource packages allow for corporate learning to take place as the instructor delivers activities designed to meet the objectives listed in each unit's description. Using this series, the instructor can increase the pure science topics covered and promote awareness of the National FFA. Students discover the underlying science principles that are an integral part of the study of agriculture.

Scientific Method - 2 Hours

Study the different types of research
Discover basic concepts associated with research such as variables and controls, treatments and manipulations, hypothesis, data collection and organization, and reporting procedures
Follow proper safety precautions while conducting research experiments
Explore the steps and processes of the scientific method
Apply the scientific method through classroom activity
Prepare a research report based on the classroom activity and use the decision making process to draw conclusions and make recommendations
