19th Annual Applied Technologies Summer Workshop
Resounding Success! July 2011
This year, we're offered two "stages" of our workshop.
Stage One was conducted here at our corporate offices in Calhoun,
Ga. July 18-19. Stage One focused on leadership and advanced programming
for VEX robotics competitive events. Experts shared their
knowledge of building a winning team as well as how to create easyC
routines that simplify complex tasks.
During our Stage Two workshop, participants gathered at the
Tellus
Science Museum, Cartersville, Ga. July 20-22.
Participants learned about various green-related technologies as they
conducted hands-on experiments with wind turbines, solar panels, and
fuel cell devices. Content covered in the workshop included resource
conservation, alternative energy, transportation, and construction.
Attendees got to tour the museum, focusing on its mineral and
transportation galleries. They also visited the
planetarium and observatory as well as the the award winning
Georgia
Tech Solar Decathlon House.
